S. Denise Cornelius, Spring Branch, Texas, spent nine years on active
duty with the U.S. Navy teaching, supervising, and mentoring junior
sailors. She lived abroad for eight years in Wales, Iceland, and
Japan and spent countless hours sharing American culture and Christ with her
foreign counterparts as opportunity presented itself. Denise
graduated from the University of Maryland University College at Yokosuka, Japan
in 2003 with an A.A in General Studies while deciding where she would like to
go in life. She worked in the financial industry for three years
and, finally frustrated with the lack of integrity and ethics in the
industry, gave that life up to begin work in the gift of her calling:
teaching the word of God. Denise currently volunteers her time
as a spiritual mentor to troubled teenaged girls at New Life Children’s Center
in Canyon Lake, Texas.
